So, the way you choose the social network is to look for the space in which you are. If you are in B2B, there is a good chance that LinkedIn will become the best social network for you. Twitter is also another good social network for B2B companies, but LinkedIn is generally better. If you are in B2C, Facebook is doing very well, Instagram is doing very well, YouTube is doing very well. YouTube works in both B2B and B2C. Now, here’s the thing you need to also look at what kind of content do you like to create.
If so, you will probably want to start with YouTube or LinkedIn. Facebook is much more competitive. YouTube allows you to get longevity. Even if you do not have an audience, you do not have a subscriber pool, you can get more traffic over time. Because Facebook people do not really look there. YouTube users search all day to find videos. And your videos can continually have points of view if you are higher up. If you’re looking for an older population, Facebook is amazing. If you’re targeting a younger population, Instagram and Snapchat are amazing. But give me an example, if I created later on the first day, it would be my competition. You look at your closest competitors. It should be in direct competition, however nonetheless your closest competitors.You want to see what the content does for them, and what the content is not. This will give you an idea of what you should do more and what you should not do is a lot. And you have to create a connection with people, it’s a social network. It is not because you are on a computer that you are not connecting with humans.
